When Niche Audio creates a Maschine and Ableton expansion pack, the bar we set ourselves is very high. However, with Sublime Techno we aimed to go even higher. We went for a very modern, punchy sound with classic elements, all of it sampled using hi end analogue hardware.  Then we took all those sounds and constructed expertly programmed and mixed kits intended to not only present you with the best possible mixed and programmed producer kits, but also to inspire and help you create your own masterpieces.  Lets not forget we had to make it genre specific. This was really quite a tall order but we achieved it and are delighted to bring you one of our best custom packs for Maschine and Ableton live, which we named Sublime Techno.

Without wishing to let our competition know what synths we used all we can say is we used a number of excellent analog hardware synths for over 90% of the sound content inside this pack. Only a small handful of the sounds we chose were digitally sourced. Every single sound has been carefully chosen to work with any Techno sub-genre but of course it will also work well for producers creating other genres including all forms of House music. Many top producers intentionally go for sound packs that don’t conform to their genre to help their sound stand out (yes it works). One of the most remarkable things when you listen to SublimeTechno is the fact that no drum machines, or drum samples from any other source were used.  All the drum sounds are from analog synths we sampled. Hearing is believing!

What your hearing is a sound that generally cant be easily achieved via VST plugins. Everything is of course expertly programmed and mixed using the hosts softwares built in sequencer and processors allowing you to edit the midi and sculpt the sounds to your liking in minutes. Our midi patterns whilst excellent are there to inspire and give you ideas, but if you wish you can use them as they are because of course all sounds and patterns are royalty free.

Specific contents for Maschine include 10 starter projects, and 17 groups. Five of the groups consist of a bank of kicks, percussion, chords and pads, Drones and FX, and various synth one shots giving you instant access to a wealth of sounds not used in the other 12 kits..

Each Kit has been created from scratch in both Maschine and Ableton Live formats to maximize the use of onboard effects, compression and usability, creating some of the most flexible and inspiring expansions for these DAW’s yet to be heard.

Expect to find 13 projects, with up to 16 samples in each kit, including Cool processed Drums, Tuned Percussion, Dark and Atmospheric Pads and Chords, Basses and Electronic FX, combining to create a unique and involving sound palette which inspires and excites.

Also included are an additional 3 special kits which feature tailored Special Fx samples for additional sample layering.

Born with a simple idea in mind, to make a Maschine pack purely using analog sound sources from the ground up.  Every oscillator, in every element is produced from scratch using only analogue hardware, from every drum hit, to bass sample to pad to effect.  Capturing each element faithfully using vintage analogue preamps with discrete tube distortion units to add colour in a way only real hardware can.

Unrestricted by producing a set style or genre,  this pack is geared to give analogue warmth, tone and character to your latest productions.  With its professionally constructed sounds, kits and patterns this pack will be ideal in your house, techno and electronica tracks.

Although we represented classic 808 and 909 within the pack, we acknowledged these classics have been sampled time and time again, and made us dig a lot deeper.  As well using classic units as sound sources, we also sourced modern and classic boutique analogues and set them to work crafting something truly unique.

For our drums, as well as the Elektron Analog RYTM, Vermona DRMIII, Jomox Mbrane, Vermona Kick Lancet, Roland 808 and 909 we also used non specialist drum machines to create quality drum and percussion sounds.  On drum duties as well as those already mentioned, we also deployed the new Korg MS20m, Moog Voyager, Elektron A4, Oberhiem Matrix, Roland SH101 and also Dave Smiths Prophet 08 to provide a wide ranging and unique drum collection.

Bass, keys, FX, stabs, chords and other tones were again all sourced from synths such as the Moog Voyager, Elektron A4, Matrix 1000, Prophet 08, carefully captured with vintage pre-amps and abused where possible with valves and transistors.

Once in the Maschine/Ableton environment each pad, rack and note is carefully processed within the digital domain to bring these warm and colourful tones truly to life.

The kits and patterns are inspired by a wide range of artists such as Kink, Noir, David August, Solomun, Mano Le Tough, Lake People, Animal Trainer, Jimpster and many more.  From Dance to House to Techno to Film Score the sounds, kits and sequences in this pack will open you up to a world of inspiration.

 A collection of authentic Deep grooves and afterhours moods, ‘Soulfuric House’ from Niche Audio serves up 13 emotive kits influenced by a wide range of artists including Detroit Swindle, Milton Jackson and Jimpster.

Taking its lead from artists such as Barely Alive, Zomboy, Pegboard Nerds, Skrillex, Must Die, Far Too Loud, and 501, the packs sound focusses on the clubbier side of the genre.

Dubstep Supercharged was primarily designed for the ultimate hands on experience when used in conjunction with a pad controller, or keyboard. All sounds are meticulously created and sampled one shots which then utilise choke groups enabling sounds to be cut off at the precise moment another sound/pad is triggered. The result is instant inspiration and gratification infusing the user with the ability to create mind boggling variations in real time. Jamming the samples via your pads or your keyboard in real time is a highly addictive and enjoyable experience - we guarantee it!

Producers can also use any of the 13 kits or, 13 colour coded projects as a starting point to get their ideas down fast.
